Known as the “world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary,” the KL Bird Park is a must visit place for all who visit the city of Kuala Lumpur.
Home to more than 3,000 birds of 200 local and foreign bird species, there are a lot of activities that one can enjoy here.Chase peacocks and hornbills, pose with owls and parrots on one’s shoulder, feed parakeets, watch ostriches lay eggs and be awed by soaring storks and flamingos in surroundings that hardly feel caged-in or too commercial.With every step you take, there will definitely be birds that catch your attention.

The KL Bird Park is carved into four zones:
- Zone 1 and 2 are a free-flight area where birds may interact and roam about as they wish.
- Zone 3 is designated as the hornbill park.
- Zone 4 contains some caged birds, special breeding areas, and an amphitheatre where two daily shows take place.
A bird show is held every day at 12:30 p.m. And3:30 p.m. at the zone 4 amphitheater. A restaurant, cafe, photo booth, and two gift shops are located within the bird park.
